Kicking off 2013 on the New Remarkablogger – New Design, New Content, New Products

Remarkablogger screenshotI’m very pleased to announce that the new Remarkablogger is here, and it’s been a long time coming. Here’s a quick run-down of what’s here for you:

  • New and more frequent content – I’m filling up my blog editorial calendar with killer post ideas designed to inform and educate the new breed of online entrepreneur (hint: that’s you and me).
  • Content in multiple media – Much of the helpful stuff I’ve got on the upcoming timeline will include video and audio content. Some people like to watch or listen as they do other things, and different people learn better with certain media over others. So I’ll be providing more variety in this area going into 2013.
  • A lot more premium free products – The hallmark of content marketing is that the content is relevant and extremely useful. The days of just publishing rinky-dink blog posts and thinking that’s good enough? Those days are over. As a start, I’ve just made my latest ebook available for free: The Diamond Business Blogging Framework.
  • New products and services designed to meet your needs at an affordable price – The age of the $39+ ebook is over. Overblown monthly membership fees for member sites where nothing new happens? Over. You’ll be able to count on sane, reasonable prices from me. For example, my new Blog Reboot is almost kinda ridiculous what you get for the price. And for a blog consulting “snack” instead of the whole buffet, you can Pick My Brain. And I’m working on other cool stuff to be released soon.
  • A freakin’ manifesto – Yeah, that’s right. I actually wrote a manifesto. Before you start gagging reflexively, just check it out.

As far as the new design goes… well, I suppose not everyone will love it, but design is such a subjective thing. Warm earthtones, a somewhat serious look, simple graphics that load quickly… that’s what I wanted for the new look and I think it delivers.

If you’re glad I’m back in action here and looking forward to the new stuff, too, do me a favor and let your friends know? Hit those social media buttons on the left side of the page (or whatever method you like to use) and help spread the word.

Fantastic kick off post Michael – and welcome back. I’ve missed you – and I can’t wait to watch you bring it in 2013!

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Thanks, Phil! It’s gonna be brung, alright. :)

  • Scot Herrick

    Welcome back!

Thanks for the new content. Can’t wait to see how it rolls out.

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Scot, thank you! I can’t wait, either!

  • http://owengreaves.com Owen Greaves

Great new look, just had to pay a visit and see what you’re up to : )

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Thanks, Owen, glad you like it. Hope 2013 rocks for you, too.

  • Andy Hayes

Nice job – looks great. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us.

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Thanks kindly. I think you’re gonna dig what happens here in 2013. :)

    Michael,

You always do things first rate, and I like your re-design and new offerings. Can’t wait to spend time reading/viewing your new content. Thank you for thinking and offering what works (for you and me).

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Paula, thank you! I haven’t heard from you in ages, it seems. Hope you’re liking our chilly weather for New Year’s? Here’s to a wonderful and prosperous new year for you and your sign company!

      • http://www.signaramavt.com Paula Diaco

Yes, it has been ages, Michael. Fairly typical New Year’s in the north country–snow and cold weather. Prosperity to you, too in this post-Zombie-Apocalyptic era! :-)

  • http://www.personalskinsolutions.com Jackie Bernardi

    Michael,

I love it! The site is clean, and the flexible product offerings are great.

Like the others, I’ve missed your wisdom–great to see you back!

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Jackie, thanks so much! Looking forward to what comes next for Personal Skin Solutions, too! (Wink wink, nudge nudge.)

  • http://onlineincometeacher.com/ Tom Southern

Not what I was expecting! Which makes it all the more of an exciting discovery. Like the fresh, open layout. Miss the huge image of you though :)

You seem to be on a mission to move blogging into being more real, separating those who want to use their blog as their business platform, and those who want to keep dreaming of the money. Good show!

    Looking forward to it.

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Tom, thanks. Not only refocusing on business blogging but also making sure nothing here ever gets mistaken for slimy snake oil, a substance with which some folks seem to be trying to drown the internet.

A word of advice regarding commenting here (and any blog, for that matter): Use the URL field for your site’s home page or the blog page. Including URLs to your own content in a self-promotional manner in your comment message text is a no-no. No need to “sign” them, either, since they’re not letters, but that’s more of a personal preference than a breach of etiquette. :)

      • Tom Southern

Ah! Apologies. The URL address was to my first guest post. I only included it because I thought the CommentLuv option was inviting me to include a link to my own site and, as I don’t have my own site yet, I included that link to my first guest post. But point taken and no underhand intent meant.

        Thanks for the heads up.

        • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Looking forward to more comments from you, then! :) I figured it was worth giving you the benefit of the doubt instead of just leaving your comment marked as spam. Automation is no respecter of intent.

    Hi Michael,

Great design, very clean and distinctive and loads like a rocket – I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us in 2013.

Thanks very much for the free eBook!

    Sue

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Thank you, Sue. I’m glad to hear you mention page load times. It is faster, but I just got an email from a helpful and concerned reader who pointed out some ways to speed things up more, so I’ll be looking into that.

If you have any questions or concerns about the book, feel free to contact me to discuss.

Looks great, Michael. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for 2013. FWIW, I used to date a woman who’s grandmother swore by snake oil. As in, actual oil from snakes. Must be a Hong Kong thing.

    • http://remarkablogger.com Michael Martine

Thanks, Dave! I’m SURE that oil was perfectly trustworthy.

  • DerekPlant

I really like the new look – slicker and more businesslike without being too formal. As a fellow Headway fan  assume it was fun to put together. Sounds like a lot’s happening in the new year, looking forward to it.

@DerekPlant Derek, thanks so much. It was a JOY to design this in Headway. The less custom CSS I have to do, the better, and each new version of Headway accomplishes this. What I really want is fluid-width navigation bars and footers, not just the header. I’ve been told that is forthcoming without using a plugin, so I’m very much looking forward to that.
