If you can’t see the video in your email or reader, watch it here.
In the poll I took yesterday, I asked what was the biggest barrier to writing your own ebook. The number one answer? No time.
No time to… make money? Seriously? Are you not running a business? LOL.
Anyway, watch the video, I had a great time making it and I think you’ll get a laugh out of it.
Oh yeah, and get the book before I raise the price. Current owners will get updates for free and I’m about to update it and reissue it.

Started reading the book yestarday and it is indeed awesome. I've been thinking of writing eBooks for a while now and this was the last push I needed. Thanks Michael!
Yay! So glad to hear it! Remember that I'll actually take a quick look at it
and help you with it (see the P.S. at the bottom of the

so be sure to get in touch with me, esp. if you feel stuck.</http:>
Nice work on the video
Cute, informative and funny (because it's so true).
Thanks muchly.
This is hysterical! Ok, I feel slightly stupid because this all about the obvious and makes uh … total sense. Thanks for that kick in my rear! I'm going to get back with you this weekend about your wonderful book! You're great – thank you! Elena
Can't wait to see what you create!
Okay, now that I've finally stopped laughing, I can thank you for the line: “Isn't selling something better than selling nothing at all?” That's going to be the answer to every single excuse I tell myself for not finishing mine up!
I was totally cringing at that line, Crys! OMG!! That is SO crazy thinking, but SO what goes on.
Oh, the things we tell ourselves! And when we drag them out into the light of day our excuses seem pretty pathetic. I'm expecting good things from you!
I got the your ebook and now working on my own ebook. This video made me feel silly for not creating an ebook earlier. Simple and to the point.
Comedy is a great way to assassinate harmful excuses.
So glad to hear
you're working on your own book!
I loved the video Michael – your message came across loud and clear (and very cute!)
Cool thanks! You hope but you never know until you get feedback.
YAY for this! I wonder how often “no time” means “I'm really f'n scared.” There's something very frightening about creating a thing and then putting it up for sale. But it's like anything else…the first time's always the hardest and then it starts to get fun.
How often? Oh probably like “every time.” But until we can expose that “reason” isn't valid we can't get people to accept the real reason. And they won't get started until they do.
You've been playing with the You Tube thingy too! Mine was too awful to air, lol
I think I might send you an email about the crazy idea I'm thinking of starting next week…
Cool I look forward to that!
Genius I love this stuff!
In fact I'm almost certainly going to steal it
I'd like to do one for people that say they don't have the money to invest in their business basics like marketing. of course the response would be “do you have money to invest in filing for Chapter 11?”
No shit, right? LOL.
Hee Hee. Good one. I can certainly commiserate… time is a precious commodity. But I'm almost to the finish line with my eBook, so i guess I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Awesome, can't wait to see what you do with it!
[...] Michael Martine over at Remarkablogger made a short, funny video called, So You Don’t Have Time To Write An Ebook? [...]
Michael, I appreciate the fact that you are as funny as can be while you're dispensing wisdom about blogging. Writing is not as easy as it looks, and all writers need all the help we can get. You do a great job for the blogging community.
Thanks, Joseph! I really appreciate you for saying that. Writing is
definitely not easy–just ask any writer. They're the ones who know it's
hard. And despite all the great advice out there the best thing to do is
simply practice.
