I didn’t think I would have so much fun working on a project just for attorneys, but I’m having a blast. As the economy and technology change, every field will be transformed, and the legal profession is no exception. If you’re a lawyer, listen up, because I’m talking about your livelihood. If you’re not a lawyer, sorry, I don’t have anything else for you right now, but you might find this interesting, anyway.
If you’re an attorney and you’re reading Remarkablogger, that means you already have a blog or you’re seriously thinking about starting one. Good for you. I think in the future we’re going to see the mass “solo-ization” of law practices (for you non-lawyer types, a “solo” is a solo practice–a law firm of one).
What is the best marketing vehicle for a solo practice or a small firm? Why, blogs, of course. Now, you could try and learn all the general blog stuff and then you could try and fit it into blog marketing for your practice. There are specific issues with blog marketing a legal practice. There are “gotchas” as well as precise things you should be doing to give your practice the edge.
The benefit of all this “blawging” (blog + law = blawg, get it? I’m not making this up) is that you will rake in the clients. Seriously rake in the clients.
Of course, I’m not a lawyer, but I’m partnering with one: Grant Griffiths of Blog for Profit. Grant used to be a lawyer, but he doens’t have to be, anymore, because he was so successful at it and blogging played a big role. Grant and I are teaming up to create Blawging Lawyers.
Grant is no slouch himself in the blogging department, but together we form a power house team of legal practice experience and marketing knowledge, plus blogging, social media, and SEO knowledge. I really enjoy working with Grant, there is a chemistry there, and Blawging Lawyers is only the first of several projects we’re working on.
Blawging Lawyers is an educational members-only site that teaches lawyers step-by-step how to effectively and successfully use blogs and social media to market their practices and grow their client lists. The benefit of this is that attorneys can live the “Solo Dream” where they are in control of their careers and have the freedom to spend time with their families, because their solo practices are thriving.
In what is turning into something of a Brian Clark methodology extravaganza, Grant and I are using what we’ve learned in both Teaching Sells and Partnering Profits, two of Clark’s programs, to create and manage Blawging Lawyers.
Blawging Lawyers will be launching soon, so if you’re interested in making your practice highly profitable, please head on over and get on our mailing list. That way, when we open the doors, you’ll be the first to know.
PS – Update: forgot to mention that you can also follow @BlawgingLawyers on Twitter for updates, etc.
