I sent out an email to my Remarkanotes list earlier today describing how things were going for the launch of WordPress SEO Secrets. In that email, I mentioned affiliates. I didn’t think anything of it. It was just some light “how ya doin’” kind of talk.
So I was shocked to see a flood of replies come back in less than five minutes all asking the same questions: How can I be an affiliate? Do you have an affiliate program for WordPress SEO Secrets?

If you’re new to the game, probably the best thing you can do is to get your own copy of WordPress SEO Secrets (see how I’m clever like that) and go through it so you can write up a detailed review. In the review you will include your affiliate link (preferably using the words “WordPress SEO Secrets“).

If you write a review, make sure it’s a real review. Point out things you like and things you don’t like. Give it a fair shake. If you just gush with praise hoping to make a sale, you will be disappointed. That will come off as fake and nobody will believe you. Audience trust is paramount in this. In other words, you’re not writing sales copy (that’s what I do here), you’re providing an authentic and honest examination. Do that and you will do well in the long run.
Product reviews are a great way to use a blog to earn money through affiliate sales programs. Just remember one thing: the product has to be the right match for your blog and your audience. If you write a dog blog, a post reviewing WordPress SEO Secrets will be totally out of place and wrong. You should be reviewing doggy toys and treats, or something like that. I could go on, but if you’re new to this, that’s enough to get you started.
