I’m Taking a Break

back_soon Between holding down a part-time job, doing work for my kick-ass business blog consulting services clients, launching my How to Start a Business Website and Hire a Web Designer ebook, developing the Gateway Blogging learning program, and writing posts here every week…

I need a break!

You’ll still find me on Twitter and leaving comments at my favorite blogs. You can still get in touch with me.

But I’m not posting here until the beginning of September. I have to work on stuff for my clients and other projects.

In the Meantime…

You should read my new book: How to Start a Business Website and Hire a Web Designer. It’s chock full of all the stuff you wish you already knew. It does what it says on the tin, as they say. In gloriously plain English, a nice big font, and pretty tables & diagrams. It’s a seriously nice-looking book (most ebooks are kinda chintzy-looking, and I hate that, so mine are different).

Check it out.

I hope your other projects all go well, Michael, and all the best with the sale of your new e-book.

@David – Thank you! By not blogging for a few days, I’ve freed up some time to ensure that they will go well.

@Kelly – No rest for the wicked, unfortunately, just prioritizing in favor of other things right now besides blogging. :)

    Have a good rest.

One thing that might help your blog is adding dates to each entry. (For example – saying you’re taking a break without a date does not allow your readers to know when you’ll be back.)

@Paul – Good point. The dates are visible when you view the single page version of each post at the bottom. The reason why I don’t post dates otherwise is because the content isn’t usually date-dependent. At least, I never saw it that way. Maybe it’s time to reconsider. Thanks for bringing up the idea. :)

I just stumbled upon your blog. I have a small data entry business and have been promoting my website. I am going to check out your book for any help.

Enjoy your catch up time – it’s important to be balanced!

Would you like a guest blogger or two in the interim? ;)

Good to see a web page promoting an ebook without the color yellow. *LOL*

    Very well made.

@Kelly – Looking forward to it (email sent).

@Jenny – If yellow would help me sell more, I’d do it in heartbeat. But I’m trying to appeal to folks who are weary of anything that looks “scammy” so it’s a bit laid-back.
