What a great time -- and I'm so grateful for having had the opportunity to meet you that evening and to learn from you, not only at SOBCon08, but also through your blog. You are inspiring me in what I do. Thank you!

[...] On Thursday night there was an informal gathering at Bella, an Italiant resturant at the hotel where I am staying. The moment I walked into this event, I was instantly recognized and welcomed. I had a most wonderful conversation with people like Liz Strauss, Terry Starbucker (both organizers of the conference) along with Wendy Piersall (remember her? I interviewed her here), Ruth Marie Sylte, Joanna Young and Vicky H (see pictures here).
Goose Island is a great way to end a day in Chicago. The best way to start your day is at an Intelligentsia Coffee shop. Trust me on this one. Do yourself a favor and get some coffee there. Though I warn you it will upgrade your coffee pallet. Making the coffee your used to hard to swallow.

Michael, I have three words of advice for you regarding Chi-town:

Goose. Island. Beer.

I'm particularly fond of the hex nut brown ale. Mmmmm....

-Sally J.

P.S. I love your updates. Please keep them coming, even though they make me piny (is that a word?) and wish I were with ya'll.
