Overheard in the Blogosphere 19

I’ve gotten to the point where I no longer care if people rip my content because it all ends up coming back to me anyways

Aaron Brazell

I am a vagrant in San Francisco and I have been receiving free voicemail from GrandCentral. I cannot overstate how inconvenient this outage has been for me.

Fortunately, the free wifi at the Starbucks on Howard St. means that I can use my MacBook Air to stay in touch with all the people who matter to me.

i would pay to have a middle finger icon on skype IM

If life hands you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Kick life in the ass and tell it you don’t want lemons. Put on your big boots and stomp all over the lemons. Then go get yourself a cup of coffee, and get back to work.

PS – I’ve been toying with the idea ever since I started doing these “overheard” posts of starting a new blog just for them. I’ve decided to take the plunge and do it! Details coming in the near future… :)

  • @ RJ and Janice: I'm glad you got a kick out of that, it was fun writing it too... I think I'm going to print it out right now, and put it up in my office!
  • @ Brett- "Put on your big boots and stomp all over the lemons. Then go get yourself a cup of coffee, and get back to work."
    I love this. :)

  • All brilliant quotes, but Brett's takes the cake, no question. Stomp those lemons, yeah!! (Mike Arrington comes a close second with his middle-finger icon wish.) Yes, a blog of blogosphere wisdom sounds like a great idea, Michael: a perfect morning-coffee read. Put me down for a subscription!
  • I love this format, I seriously considered swiping it but decided that would not be homage and would just be lame.

I love love love the Aaron B quote. That's it, that's the whole thing in a nutshell IMO.
  • @ Michael,

Thanks for the shout out today. I'm really looking forward to your new blog, just to see all of the cool things other people are saying out here... some pretty sharp cookies (I'm with Mike Arrington, I'd pay for that)

@ Kelly *blush* thanks, I still say your blog rocks so hard it makes Motorhead cry... always good stuff there.

  • Michael,

OMG, a homeless person with a MacBook Air? I had to go read the original post to believe it really said that. Surely he jests. I hope.

I mean, I knew they were expensive, but I didn't know they could do that to you.

& Brett, he just rocks. What a brilliant man.

    Always love these!

    Regards,

    Kelly
