You Just Subscribed to Remarkablogger and Got Your Free Ebook – Okay, What Now?

wolf1s.gifWow. When I look at my subscriber count, now, I have to rub my eyes and make sure I’m not seeing things.

I have a ton of new readers who are going to decide very quickly whether or not they should remain subscribed after getting their little prize (oh yeah, people, I know how it goes–think I haven’t been there?). You wonderful new people haven’t read the posts I’ve already written that my existing readers liked the best.

You could browse the archives (yawn) or click on a category (oh boy! really?), but that’s no fun. It ain’t convenient, either.

I want to be a warm and welcoming host. I’ve gone to the trouble of selecting some slightly older stuff for you. But I’ve also done something else. I’m also going to provide you with a list of links to some of my favorite blogs (not the really big names). Because when you get me, you get my network, too (take that, Verizon!).

In addition to Remarkablogger and Gateway Blogging, I also hold a couple pro blogging gigs (gotta have that problogger cred, ya know?). You can also find me at:

    Yes, I know. I’m shameless. Sorry, Michael…

@James – If you were shameless, you would not have apologized. Next time, I expect total and utter shamelessness.

Thank you for recommending me, Michael.

Also, James Chartrand is a dirty, dirty spammy-pants.

@ Michael – Right, right… I have to perfect my technique. Can I be a conscientious shameless self-promoter?

Michael, I just read your ebook. Thank you for putting together this comprehensive workbook. I have spent the past 6 months building four blogs for realtors and I could have used your book then! I started out with wordpress.com and a few months into it, moved over to wordpress.org (easy transition). Now I plan to implement your recommendation of building a website or two off of the wordpress platform. Thanks again for your workbook. I will recommend it.

I hope none of those new subscribers were simply due to the recent Feedburner-Feedblitz shenanigans which saw my Sciencebase site leap from 3000-ish to 5862 yesterday and back down to 3022 today!

@David – That little episode is over, and my count never rose as dramatically as it did for others. My gains are rapid, but it’s a pretty smooth upslope with no big spikes. That problem had to do with FeedBlitz and FeedBurner together. I don’t use FeedBlitz.

    That’s cool.

I’ve used Feedblitz in the past for one of my sites and its RSS numbers have been up and down like a…well I don’t know what…

Settled at a respectable level today, thankfully.
