@Stephen: Thanks, your comment about voice means a lot to me, because anyone who writes and does marketing as part of their livelihood knows how important that is. Tell you what, I'll take the step and invite you to my LinkedIn network. I love long comments--they mean people are thinking and that they find the high level of participation worth it.

Michael:

You have a very interesting voice that I can pick up even with words. You have a sense of, how should I put it, well, humor. That's pretty much obvious but man, I feeling your sense of "realness." You're real and I'm picking up on that energy. You are one cool dude. I don't know how to say it other than what I just said.

I really enjoy your blog. I've been trimming my RSS feed because I'm finding a lot of the blogs out there to be just repeats and not much in depth. Many of them don't elicit a strong reaction in me but yours does. It's pretty cool.

I am also in LINKEDIN and I also don't automatically add friends either. You were funny when you said, "I sad I had standards - I didn't say they were high." Now, THAT was funny. :)

So just keep it up. And maybe I'll find you in LINKEDIN. To be truthful, I haven't found it to be much of anything. Many of the people I want to get a hold of are several degrees away and even when trying to reach someone through someone else, it rarely works. What about you?

Sorry for the LONG comment. I can get carried away sometimes.

@Stephen: Thank you! Yes, it seems everyone digs it (by the way people, you can also "digg" it , too, if you know what I mean, wink wink nudge nudge say no more what). I get a little thrill every time I run across something and I realize it would make a perfect little quote for the next one.

As far as social networks go, I have found Facebook to be mostly annoying. I reject nearly every stupid little whatever that's sent to me. Really I should probably just cancel... if I even can (hmmm... I wonder about that).

But I've found LinkedIn to be highly useful. I actually get hired through it, so that automatically makes it a million times more valuable to me than the others. If anyone's curious, see my About page for all my social networking profile links. I actually do not automatically approve everyone to be my friend, but if you want to add me to your friends list, and you've commented on my blog, that's good enough (I said I had standards--I didn't say they were high :) ).

Michael:

I love your "Heard in the Blogosphere" feature. It's very interesting because many of these feature blogs I never read or heard of (with some exceptions).

In today's feature I particularly enjoyed the article about Facebook being a data hog. It makes me glad I never bothered to sign up with them or any of the other social media sites (except for StumbleUpon).

@Shane: You're welcome! The honesty and personable writing on your blog is refreshing and I like that you have a sense of humor. I would be thrilled to do the interview.
