I recently did a promotion for my blog consulting service where I reviewed five blogs for free, and I wrote that the total value of the reviews was $500 USD, or, $100 each. The reason for that is because I wanted to offer blog reviews for $100. I wanted to offer something on a smaller scale than paying me hourly or hiring me for a larger project. Something almost like a “product” that nearly anyone could afford. A blog review with a written report that you can use as a roadmap going forward seems like just the thing.
If you are feeling stuck, unsure, or inexperienced regarding your blogging or blog design, $100 for a blog review like the five I wrote during the recent promotion might be just the insight and boost you need. We become blind to our own strengths and weaknesses, and it often takes another person who doesn’t have our blindspots to help us break through and realize our own potential. I think that’s worth a hundred bucks.
What you get for $100
- A list of what’s great about your blog and your blogging so you know what strengths to capitalize on. I find that many people concentrate on what they think they don’t do well, and are unsure of what they do well. Getting an experienced person’s perspective on this can help you see your strengths in new ways, so you can best work from them.
- A list of problem areas that need improvement. This is the part people dread, yet helps them the most. This is where the breakthroughs will be found that take your blogging to the next level.
- A blogging plan created just for you: a list of recommendations and next steps so you can take action. The list can be quite detailed if need be. The list gives you direction and purpose if you didn’t have any, and better direction and purpose if you did.
These reviews are honest and frank: I bring up the bad and the good, and I don’t flinch. I want you to succeed, and I can’t help you do that if I’m not saying what needs to be said and calling it like I see it. If all I did was tell you how wonderful everything is and avoid any problem areas, that would make the review less valuable, not more.
Unless you specifically grant me permission to post your review on my blog, your blog review, identity, and email are private and confidential, and will never be revealed for any reason. If you want to blog about how I helped you, that’s up to you. I still will not write about it myself unless you grant me permission to.
How to get your review
Fill out the form at the end of this post, or go to my permanent Quick Blog Review Page and fill the form out there. I’ll get back to you soon on acceptance, timing, and payment. I feel the review is worth $100, but I also want to make it easy for you to get that value. If you’re a bit low on funds and a hundred bucks is too much for you all at once, we can work out payment arrangements.
When you will get your review
I should be able to do your review and get it to you within 48 hours. If I’m exceptionally busy and get a little behind, I’ll let you know when I will be able to deliver your review.
The format of your review
Your written review comes in the form of a shared Google Document. I’ll share the document with you and you go to Google Docs and do whatever you want with it: view it, print it, and download in any of several formats, including Word and PDF.
